  10. MILLIS, MA  (October 18, 1993)  --  Abbate Video, Inc., announced today that
  11. they will ship a $99 "VTK Plug In Pack™" for use directly from within Adobe
  12. Premiere™. The VTK Plug In Pack consists of software and patented control
  13. cables which enables Adobe Premiere users direct control of virtually any VCR
  14. and camcorder ranging from consumer through professional. The product will ship
  15. by November 15th.

  18. before. With the VTK Plug In Pack,  Premiere users can control the absolute
  19. widest range of video equipment at the lowest cost imaginable”, commented Mark
  20. Abbate, Founder and Chief Designer.

  22. The VTK Plug In Pack uses the same patented software and control cable
  23. technology used in Abbate's flagship product, the VideoToolkit™. As a result,
  24. it can control virtually any camcorder or VCR, from consumer through
  25. professional, including those with Control-L (LANC), Control-M (Panasonic's
  26. 5-pin remote), RS-422 (Panasonic, Sony and JVC professional gear), RS-232
  27. (Panasonic, JVC, NEC PC-VCR, Mitsubishi BV-2000), and ViSCA.

  29. The VTK Plug In Pack includes a full Remote and Setup screen (illustrated
  30. below). It lets Premiere users conveniently control their video equipment by
  31. remaining active and in the background at all times. Alternatively, the user
  32. can use Premiere's control panel right from the program.

  34. “Premiere users can now accurately locate and selectively digitize their
  35. footage  without having to deal with VCR at all. Now they can just select the
  36. scenes they want to digitize directly from Premiere, then walk away and let VTK
  37. do all the work. Our users wanted it and now they have it. It made sense for us
  38. to be the ones to deliver it too,” comments Philip Palombo, an Abbate Video
  39. Principal.

  41.    The $99 VTK Plug In Pack includes one control cable of the customer's
  42. choosing. To control different types of video equipment, users need only
  43. purchase a different control cable from Abbate. Compared to any other device
  44. control solutions available for Premiere, this is by far the simplest and least
  45. expensive solution.

  47. In its fourth year of providing video software and consulting services for a
  48. broad range of customers, Abbate Video, Inc., has a long list of achievements.
